If you’ve been trying to figure out exactly how many jobs Terafab will actually bring to the Brazos Valley, you’re not alone. Greater Brazos Partnership President and CEO Tom Johnson says the confusion is understandable because the numbers depend on which phase and which type of job you’re talking about.

A study by the Council for Community and Economic Research and published by the Greater Brazos Partnership Sept. 1, found that the Bryan-College Station metropolitan area was 10% below the national average for living costs during the second quarter of 2026. The study surveyed the after-tax living costs of 248 urban areas nationwide, setting the national average at 100 points. 

College Station City Council provided direction to finalize two separate purchase and economic development agreements that will bring a 14-acre Bass Pro Shops, along with an additional 14-acre mixed-use development by Dallas-based Corinth Properties to one of the city's fastest-growing corridors.
