The Savannah Bananas are bringing baseball to Kyle Field this weekend, and local businesses are preparing for an influx of customers. The city of College Station is anticipating over 100,000 visitors in town for the game and other banana-related events.
Texas’ labor force reached a historic high through the first quarter of 2026, with growth reflected in College Station-Bryan. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, Texas now has the largest labor force in state history at nearly 16 million workers. In College Station-Bryan, the local labor force grew from 152,000 in July 2025 to nearly 160,000 by December.
