A new Hampton Inn hotel is planned for College Station at the former Applebee’s site on Texas Avenue, bringing new life to a long-vacant property. In March, the city council unanimously approved rezoning the roughly 1.24-acre tract from commercial industrial to a planned mixed-use district, allowing for hotel development.
