14th-best in the country with an A+ rating. CSISD has achieved a 95% graduation rate and rates a B (89) in the Texas Student Achievement rankings. About 72% of district graduates are college, career, or military ready, significantly above the state average.
We are home to
Texas A&M University, one of the country’s largest public universities. The Aggies are members of the nationally prominent Southeastern Conference, which makes college sports a leading attraction. A&M’s international influence supplies a healthy diversity of race, culture, and nationality that reflects much of the vibrancy, tradition, and spirit that make the community a special and unique place. Texas A&M is also a top research university. It is ranked No. 11 for its Management program and No. 15 for Undergraduate Engineering, which includes Petroleum (No. 1), Biological/Agricultural (No. 5), Civil (No. 10), Aerospace (No. 11), and Industrial/Manufacturing (No. 12). That presence gives College Station one of the nation’s most reliable professional workforces.
In addition to elite public schools and a world-class university, we have a junior college that produces hundreds of graduates each year. The most significant impact of
Blinn College’s Bryan campus is the education, training, and skills it provides for residents. Our area employs thousands of former Blinn students.

Transportation
College Station has multiple public transportation options and a regional airport with commercial and general aviation services. We also have a
multi-city bus system and popular ride-hailing services.
A&M’s robust bus system is an easy way to get around for students and staff. When combined, the two bus systems give College Station the 7th-largest transit system in Texas and the most number of rides per person in the state.
The City of College Station was the first agency in Texas to install Automatic Traffic Signal Performance Measure software to monitor, evaluate, and improve traffic, especially during times of high movement or congestion. The system reduces the overall drive time, regardless of what events are happening. We are located about 20 minutes from the proposed
High-Speed Rail midpoint station in Roans Prairie. The rail will connect Houston and Dallas, and the nearby stop will allow College Station residents and businesses to quickly and easily access the larger markets.
Easterwood Airport offers global air service that delivers passengers to countless destinations around the world. Transportation Security Administration pre-checking is available, and security wait times are under 15 minutes. The airport is a mere eight minutes from Kyle Field, home of the Fightin’ Texas Aggies. Ample on-site parking means you’re able to park just steps away from your gate. The airport is a short drive from any part of town, which significantly reduces travel time. The
general aviation side of the airport has access to the 7,000-foot runway. It offers luxuries such as secured parking, catering services, ramp side vehicle access, hangar space, linen and dishwashing service, and more. The new 30,000 square-foot hangar and 8,000-square-foot terminal provide the comforts you expected from the best in private aviation.
